The Jackson Showboats are a team in the American Basketball Association based in Jackson, Mississippi that began play in the 2012-13 ABA season. Grant Worsley founded the team after moving to Mississippi from New Jersey, and quickly provided a needed outlet for great basketball talent in Mississippi and its region. Former collegiate stars Dietric Slator from Mississippi State and Trey Montgomery from Samford put the Showboats on the national radar. In the 2013-14 season, the Showboats played the top two teams in ABA a total of five times. Traveling to play teams like Jacksonville,Florida and Shreveport,Louisiana, the Showboats scheduled games against other powerhouse teams like Mobile and Birmingham Alabama. Showboats guard Jon Phelps was voted and selected to the ABA All Star Team, and former LSU star guard Terry Martin kept NBA and international scouts in attendance at their games. 〔http://abalive.com/aba-featured-news/jackson-showboats-hire-former-nfl-wide-receiver/〕 The Showboats finished in the top 15 in their first ABA season.〔http://abalive.com/aba-featured-news/aba-power-rankings/〕 As of the November 2014 pre-season rankings, the Showboats are ranked #31.〔http://www.abalive.com/pre-aba-power-rankings/〕 ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Jackson Showboats」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
